To celebrate Heritage Open Weekend The Higgins Bedford is hosting three free special events all about wartime Bedford. Meet the makers of the ‘life in the trenches’ model and hear what life was like at the front during the First World War. Join Lydia Saul, Keeper of Social History, for an exhibition tour of the current exhibition, Bedford’s War Machines. Listen to the war time memories of Higgins volunteer, Terry Darlow, and see his fantastic photograph collection from Bedford’s past.
